Beijing Part 2

王府井
Wang Fu Jing
a.k.a: the Royal Well

It sounds like "Wow~"
In fact, it is just a well-covered Well. Like this:

Anyway,
Yes! This is one of my favourite places in Beijing.
Why?
Because you can find a lot of shopping malls and complexes.
I do love shopping!

But,
the most interesting part of this place is

Wang Fu Jing's food street!

You can find cute animals and bugs to eat.
Such as:

Small Scorpion
FYI, they are still alive! Struggling very hard. =.=

Bugs like cockroach!

Silk Worm

Seahorses and Star Fish

I called them cute crab,
but the name supposed to be royal crab or something like that, if I'm not mistaken. :)

Snails

Black Scorpions

Rats, lizards and etc....

There is more!!!

To be honest,
This is the only animal that both Addy and I dare to challenge.
It tasted like

'yucks!!!"
Lol.....

Not everything there is scary and horrible as it looks like,
there are also normal foods like
Straw Bun

I miss China's yogurt very much!
I do think that China is the best in producing yogurt.
I had these every day! I am not kidding.

 冰糖葫芦
Sugar-coated haws

It tastes good!!!
provided that you found the right place to eat this. Some place tasted like just sugar.

This is how it looks like
Crowded by human beings!!!

China's chinese kids are always so adorable!

Welcome Beijing!!! ~Part 1~

What!? Going BEIJING to study? You bet it!
In case you don't know where is it...
Have a look! :)

I know its a place that not many will consider to study.
Because many would say that: Very dangerous~ Very cold now~ What? China?

In fact, I really planned to study at Beijing before
or maybe paying a visit and stay for a short period.
It's like so lucky that Monash offered this business translation course that I can study abroad at Beijing.
So? What I am waiting for right!

Most of my friends are going Shanghai for chinese learning.
and Shanghai is also a very envious place to study.
But I am not gonna waste my time and money to study Chinese,
So, business translation course sounds just GOOD!

Thank god there is still Addy
She is my only company to Beijing.
Weeeeeee....
Both of us were so excited

So the day we were at airport,
Alexis and Christine came! so nice right!
We had some Mc D before we fly.

The flight was delayed for a few hours
Its like Owh Emm Gee!!!
it was late night and we were so tired carrying the heavy bags.

Then....
We camwhore!

***Okay~ I admit! I had a terrible haircut before I came to Beijing***
***I regretted so so much!***

Finally on board,
I was expecting to get some good sleep.
But!
My good sleep was interrupted by the services,
the lights were on and off, and on and off!
What the ....

Luckily, there is a pretty China stewardess serving us.
Hehehe... :P

Then, after 6 hours flight we reached Beijing.
Addy and I were so excited and shouted out loud
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
Here is F*cking cold!

the temperature is 0 degree Celsius when we arrived.
We are so not prepared for the coldness.

Then, we decided to take a taxi to our Uni.

You know what?
The 1st ROBERRY on the 1st day in Beijing happened!
All the taxi drivers, they roooooobbed us!
They offered a high price as much as RMB 100 for the ride and the distance is so near.

Ya, I know what you are gonna say.
I did insisted to pay by meters.
But, all of them refused to fetch us if we are not paying that amount.
It's like someone grabbing your balls and you can't do anything with it.
Plus, its really very cold outside.
So, we decided to pay them and get to our Uni asap.Sad :(

Stop with the sad story, we finally reached the Uni!

OMG! Here is so so so BIG!
Its like 4 times bigger than Sunway Monash.

Adeline is so so so so so so excited!
She jumped here and there. hahaha...

Okay! this is the most funny things I found in my uni.

Look at this statue!!!
It looks so weird and WRONG!!! Lol.....

A mother and a son?!
the son is sitting on the mother?!

this is the "ass" view!

Anyway........
I was arranged to stay at a 3 star hotel near our uni and Addy staying in the hostel where it located exactly at the middle of our uni.
So, after we settled all our accommodation.
All of us can't wait to sightseeing!
But, we were unfamiliar with the environment.
We don't know where to go,
and what transport to take.

Luckily, Weixin gave me a phone number of a friend of her who is studying at Beijing.
She is Nora.
She is totally our saviour!

She directed us to take the subway and meet her at a place.
After meeting her, she took us to shopping because we need some winter clothing and also brought to some good restaurant to taste some Beijing specialty.

Then, both of us were exhausted because we walked for half a day.
Seriously! we WALKED.
My leggies are so hurt.

So,we went back to our hostel!

Ends of our 1st day in Beijing.
